Light Will Work Through Injury

Find out how badly Christain was hurt at the hands of The Untouchables, and find out how he feels about the way Episode 33 ended.

On the last episode of Defiance TV, the match between Christian Light and Dragon Jones appeared to end in a no-contest when all four Untouchables charged the ring and assaulted Christian Light, who had one arm tied behind his back per the match stipulations. Christian was the victim of several different kicks targeting the head and neck as well as The Western Lariat and the Untouchadriver, and was stretchered out of his match as a precautionary measure.

There were rumors that Christian had suffered some neck damage as well as several concussions and that Christian would be out of commission for a while. But he, miraculously, managed to avoid serious injury and even managed to make a late appearance in the World Title match. When asked about his injuries, Christian had this to say:

"I suffered a sprained muscle in my neck...I forget which one...and a concussion from either the kenpo side kick or the Western Lariat.  I can work through the neck issue, I've already taken and passed Defiance's concussion testing, and I've been cleared to compete for the next Defiance show. I need to speak with the doctors in Empire Pro and confirm that I'm good to go at Aggression 72, but I have no reason to believe that my status for that card is in any jeopardy either.

Really, my chief concerns are Tom Sawyer's health and Eugene Dewey. Dewey in particular deserved a much better fate than he got, as he had Jeff dead to rights and my mistake cost him that match.

Eugene, I'm sorry for what happened.  It was an accident.  I was trying to protect you from becoming a victim of what happened to me.  I'm gonna be in Mechanicville again after I stop home and see my kids; hopefully I'll see you there and we can talk more about this."

More on this story as it develops, but it looks like Christian confirmed his participation in Defiance TV 34. What Jeff Andrews has in store for him is anyone's guess.
