Dane vs Cayle match signed, sealed, and stipulated?

After weeks of ducking and dodging Cayle Murray's request for a straight up match, Eric Dane has finally seen fit to show up to the negotiations table!

After several stalled attempts and meetings disrupted with walkouts and and shouting matches, the match for DEFCON1 between Eric Dane and Cayle Murray has finally been made official.

It seems the major point of contention was a series of insane stipulations that Dane demanded to be added to the match before he would sign the dotted line. The younger Murray brother refused such garbage gimmicks as an Exploding Timebomb Deathmatch, Barbed Wire Spidernet Deathmatch, Barefoot Barbed Wire Ropes and Thumbtacks Deathmatch, and the DEFIANCE favorite Tai Pei Deathmatch.

Dane insisted that if Murray wanted the match he would face whatever stipulations put in front of him, while Cayle countered that if Dane were half the legend that he claimed to be, he'd meet him one on one in the middle of the ring without a bunch of zany gimmicks getting in the way.

Finally, just before midnight last night, the final meeting took place and both signatures were recorded on an official, binding contract. In the end Cayle agreed to facing The Only Star in a first time match in DEFIANCE...

A Crescent City Streetfight!

The rules are, there are no rules! It's one fall to a finish in a match that clearly gives the legend with a history of violence a head and shoulders advantage over his young opponent.

I managed to catch up with Cayle just as he was leaving the DEFplex this morning and he had the following to say about thee match:

"It don't really matter what stipulation the lad wants, at DEFCON1 I'm gonna show Eric Dane that we Murrays aren't kids to be bullied around, even if it is his playground!"

I've been trying to get some word from Eric Dane all day long, but as always the boss is the best there is at staying out of the media until he's ready to use it to his advantage.

I did manage to find Bobby Dean in the cafeteria. He was chowing down on stopsign pizza and greasy fries and had this to say between bouts of stuffing pizza in his mouth and choking it down with french fries and cartons of chocolate milk:

"Ha! Squidboy agreed to a Streetfight with Eric? What a maroon. The boss is probably gonna run him over with a truck and then have him launched into outer-space! That, an I'm gonna finish off that no-account brother of his too, yanno, just to make sure things stay on the "up and up." Heh... Streetfight..."

Andy Murray was unreachable, but it is assumed across the board that he's looking to take a receipt out of Bobby's hyde at DEFCON1 and as such leaving his brother Cayle to his own machinations as it pertains to handling The Only Star in a no holds barred environment.
