Post-CLASH Personnel Report
Posted by Lance Warner on 23 May 2016
Deep from the desk of Kelly Evans comes this notice, regarding a handful of roster eleases and injuries sustained by competitors at the DEFIANCE ROAD and CLASH OF THE DEFIANCE events.
Following an all-out war at DEFIANCE ROAD, in which both competitors sustained severe physical trauma, neither Tyrone Walker nor Omega are likely to be seen on DEFIANCE television anytime soon. Despite his victory, Walker was particularly banged-up during the contest and collpased backstage shortly after. His injuries are likely to sideline him for an indefenite period of time, while Omega has not been seen nor heard from since the event went off the air. It has been rumoured that the giant has been recommitted to an insane asylum, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Jason Natas "tweaked" his right knee during his show-opening brawl with Bronson Box at CLASH OF THE DEFIANTS. Iris Davine and her team are monitoring this closely, as a second serious injury to this knee could spell trouble for the burly New Yorker's future. Natas, who was sidelined for 18-months before returning to DEF last October, is set to face Lindsay Troy at DEFtv 65.
DEFIANCE has come to terms on the release of Van Carver, Jake Donovan and El Trebol Jr. from their DEFIANCE contracts. While Carver's release allegedly relates to incidents that occurred within "the complicated world behind the curtain," details on the other two are sketchy at best.
For the time being, DEFIANCE will NOT be looking to restock its roster with new recruits and fill the gaps created by these departures.
