While DEFIANCE gets ready to roll into our next stop on the Homecoming Tour, here's an interesting bit of information we've just learned regarding the fallout from Guerrilla Grindhouse 14 in Duluth, Georgia a few weeks ago.

As fans know by now, Jonny Booya turned on the Truly Untouchables in the main event of GG14 and helped the Blood Diamonds force the group to disband. The Blood Diamonds then tossed Bronson Box and his Conclave students Jacob Cassidy and Felton Bigsby from their ranks to close out the show. Earlier this week on GG15 from Tupelo, Mississippi, the new-look Blood Diamonds opened the broadcast to an elaborate celebration of their deeds and Edward White staked his claim in the management game of the company by revealing his financial backing status throughout DEF's World Tour.

Former T-UT members Kai Scott and Claira St. Sure were on hand in Tupelo to try and gain some measures of revenge on the Blood Diamonds. Many thought Bronson Box and the Conclave would do the same. When the night ended with no appearances by Box, Cassidy, or Bigsby, the social media machine started up with speculations ranging from them being there and Edward White blocking them from entering the building, to Nicky Corozzo burying them in a Georgia field somewhere.

What is actually true and what has been confirmed by eyewitnesses is this: nobody has seen Bronson Box since GG14, but the day after that show Jacob Cassidy and Felton Bigsby were spotted waiting at neighboring gates for flights out of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Cassidy was approached by Lindsay Troy and Tyler Rayne of the Big Damn Heroes, who were booked on the same flight as him back to New England.

The conversation started off tepid with Cassidy obviously still pissed about the events from the night before and his remembering the Conclave's run-ins with the 'Heroes during DEFIANCE's sweep of Canada. Things escalated when Rayne asked if "turning tail and leaving was [Jacob's] game plan," and Cassidy shouted that he didn't have many options when his own mentor went "batshit crazy" and caused his training center to be "shuttered by that sleezeball Ed White," which he and Felton found out about that morning.

Bigsby walked over to try and calm his friend down before airport security was called and it was suggested by Troy that if Jacob was still serious about making things happen for himself and getting his career back on track, he should consider another alternative. Maybe one of her schools, for instance, which garnered a raised eyebrow from both Cassidy and Rayne. "You don't suck at this," Troy is purported to have said. "You just need some refinement from someone who's better at it than Bronson and isn't, as you said, 'batshit crazy.' You, too," she said to Bigsby. "Offer's extended to you, too."

By the time boarding calls for their flights came over the airport PA system, Bigbsy and Cassidy were in possession of business cards, outreach instructions, and renewed senses of potential. As of this writing, we're still gathering research on the schools Troy referenced. What we're able to report is the location of one in Tampa, Florida, which was once owned and operated by a relative, and another in Boston, Massachusetts. A third location is being scouted for in southern California.

We're not able to confirm this for sure, but there's speculation that Troy's invitation to oversee the training of Bronson Box's and Ed White's former associates is the reason for her hanging back to catch the Socialite's eye at the end of GG15. Something tells me this situation should be monitored for future developments.

TALKING DEF

"For three years, I have been on a crusade against this cesspool of a company. And now - FINALLY - I will stand across the ring from the very man who personifies everything wrong with DEFIANCE. Tonight, I fight this company - and its knuckle-dragging fanbase - in human form. This is as close as I will ever get to physically punching DEFIANCE in the head, Ms. Zane, and to say I am prepared is an understatement. One might say… I was born for this."
