Count Novick Biography

 

 

 

 

Count Novick is an immortal oligarch from eighth century Transylvania. At some point in his life, he was given the dark gift of vampirism, and now he’s destined to terrorize his victims in the night and seduce unsuspecting ladies for fun.

SOME PEOPLE might tell you that vampires don’t exist. SOME PEOPLE might suggest the man who called himself “Count Novick” is just a mid-sized indy wrestler who realized that without some kind of unique hook that made people laugh and made him memorable, he would be just another high-flyer in small gyms. SOME PEOPLE might even point to the fact that he’s visibly aged since arriving in DEFIANCE and that someone who looks remarkably like him has been filmed outside during the day as proof that he is just a regular man.

Don’t listen to those people. They are no fun.



 

1. Underestimated. Somewhere in this 1990s New Generation failed gimmick is a very competent and quick wrestler. There's no doubt he uses his opponents thinking of him as a buffoon to his advantage.

2. Conditioning. Novick is fast, in shape, and agile. He can go. 

1. Not serious. It's never been clear if he's committed to the bit strategically or if he's actually insane. Either way, this commitment can get in the way - how could it not when garlic is technically a weakness? As a result, he's never been particularly focused on winning championships or advancing his career.

2. Size. He's not a big wrestler, and if a true powerhouse gets their hands on him, it's generally over.
