NEWS AND NOTES:
--Thanks to a vicious assault at CLASH from Cul of the Viking War Cult, "The Big Bad" BRAGG added Interim Matchmaker to his list of duties that include BRAZEN Enforcer. He promised revenge that he'd be taking on Floki Holmstrom of the VWC and he would bar everyone from VWC at ringside under penalty of indefinite suspension. He told the fans Cappy would be back at the next double shot and thanked them before the show began. With that, he introduced the first ever BRAZEN Onslaught Champion, Gerardo Villalobos!
Per the rules of the belt:
-The BRAZEN Onslaught Title is to be defended at ALL BRAZEN events!
-Fifteen minutes time limit. If it goes to a draw, the champ retains.
-No Holds Barred… not in the sense of No DQ, but literally, all holds, chokes, claws, etc. are declared legal. ANY weapons use or interference will result in an immediate disqualification.
--...and the first defense was TOUGH adVillalobos had to fight the very man he beat for the right to be first, BRAZEN's inaugural BRAZEN Champion Reinhardt Hoffman! And what a title defense it was! Hoffman used several chokes to try and incapacite the big man. Later on, Villalobos tossed him out of the ring and flew off the apron with a Flying Shoulder Tackle! Towards the end, Hoffman raked the eyes (again, legal!) and a Knee Trembler for two. But Gerardo fought through it and landed Stay In Escuela for the win and his first successful defense.
--Next was "Ratings" Jesse Harrison and new star, "Mellow Yellow" George Othello. Othello, the judo and British wrestling prodigy owned the first couple minutes on the mat with great limbwork, going after Harrison's arm… but later on, he fought back and tossed Othello from the ring and slammed his head into the ringpost! Othello's mat work was compromised and Harrison continued to attack relentlessly. Othello almost took the win with an impressive Backslide into a bridge called the Yellow Brick Road, but only got two. One Cliff Hanger (Double Knee Facebreaker) later and he won. Post match, Jesse Harrison declared that he was shooting right for the top where he belonged after being cheated out of the Onslaught . He'd get some help tomorrow in a six man tag and then declared himself BRAZEN's new Leading Man!
--Before the match, DEFIANCE veteran Jack Harmen declared that from this point forward, he was going to be BRAZEN full time! He went on to score an impressive victory over BRAZEN star Sam Day! Day took the fight to the veteran on several occasions, but Harmen put him down with the Locomotive! After the match, Harmen told the crowd he was on the hunt for gold and said he would be watching the the winner of tomorrow night’s CLASH of the BRAZEN rematch between LET’s Beast, Killjoy and his challenger, the former champ Nathaniel Eye!
--After that, two sets of two big winners interrupted the show. Paul Dunson, with help from his two sons Richie and Todd, as well as his heavy hitter nephew Finn, won the GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY BATTLE CLUSTER which granted him a title shot at any title under the BRAZEN banner. Following that, Gentlemen’s Agreement - Lord Sewell and Oliver Tarquin Monroe - ran through five teams to win a future BRAZEN Tag Team Title opportunity! Tonight, The Dunson Clan and Gentlemen’s Agreement declared they were now a new alliance… THE CLAN OF GENTLEMEN! To demonstrate, they were in ten-man tag action with Todd Dunson at ringside to take on the team of The Midcard Experiment, Nicky Synz and the man Paul Dunson stole the BATTLE CLUSTER win from, "Wingman" Titus Campbell and Nicky Synz. The alliance paid off because the Clan of Gentlemen won out with Paul Dunson knocking out Nicky Synz with his brass knuckles attack behind the ref’s back that he called appropriately, the Golden Opportunity!
--The card was also a chance for some of the BRAZEN’s female stars to take center stage! The six-foot one star, Princess Hoss (no relation to Team HOSS that we know of) defeated the gutsy Miss Y Private Eye and Faith Clay with a huge Chokeslam from Hoss on Clay! After the match, Princess Hoss told the crowd that she was going to show the fans what the BRAZEN stars can do!
--As BRAGG promised earlier, Floki Holmstrom was going to pay a price for what his leader, Cul, did to BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment. BRAGG’s mentor attacked Floki at the start and tossed the twin around the ring like a rag doll. With no other VWC members to help, Floki had to rely on his own skills… and the powder he had hidden in his trunks! He blinded BRAGG and got a nearfall off a DDT, but The Big Bad turned it around quickly. One “Sorry About Your Jaw” (Overhand right) and They All Fall Down (Jackknife Powerbomb) later and BRAGG had the win. Post-match, BRAGG challenged VWC’s giant, Torvald, to a singles match tomorrow night. Cul and the rest of the Viking War Cult came out and accepted the challenge. BRAGG mentioned the same rules for tonight’s match applied to tomorrow so he would see Torvald The Destroyer one on one without the VWC involved!
--High Investigation, Thugs 4 Hire, Barrio Boys, and Atomic Punks showed during a Four Corners Elimination match that the BRAZEN Tag Division was hotter than it had ever been! The first team out was Thugs 4 Hire thanks to a Japanese Leg Roll-up from Corey Nunez to Emilio Boyd! Secondly, Little Man and Fat Boy used a double-team Spike Piledriver to end the Barrio Boys. It was Eddie Cheno and Tornado T-Rex Titalayo! It was Fat Boy taking their tag team combo, Sucks To Be Air Bud (Brainbuster by Cheno, MASSIVE Splash from the 325-pound Titalayo) for the big win!
--In the second to last match, it was a showcase for three of BRAZEN’s top babyfaces! Former BRAZEN Champion Jack Mace, along with two big rising stars who scored HUGE during the TAG PARTY II - Doug “Moonshine” Matton and the incredibly talented prodigy Declan “DEC4L” Alexander! The three faces worked well together for the first time, pulling out a huge win over the team of To The Maxx and BRAZEN veteran Cristiano Caballero. A Play of the Game (Ace Crusher) from DEC4L on Caballero followed by a Beer-Can-Rana from Matton led to the Bear Trap (Grounded Cobra Twist) on Caballero for the submission win! Post match, they were interrupted by the now self-proclaimed “Leading Man” Jesse Harrison. He challenged them for night two of the BRAZEN Double Shot and said he found two guys willing to help him take them on. DEC4L accepted the trio after their blessing and said they’d see him tomorrow!
--And in a preview before we get two big BRAZEN title matches, the former champion Nathaniel Eye joined forces with BADASS, fresh off their big win in a massive six-man street fight over the Viking War Cult against Les Enfants Terribles! Holding all the key gold in the singles and tag divisions gave them a higher sense of entitlement than usual and the vicious trio showed how good they were as a team through the whole bout. BADASS pulled out some big double teams including a Double Hip Attack/Spine Kick combo on HF IV. Later, though, the new champion Killjoy exerted dominance and the LET trio brutalized Tripp Wise for a good number of minutes. Killjoy at one point simply beat on Tripp while making Davis Bloome and his opponent for tomorrow, Nathaniel Eye, watch. Archer Silver PUNISHED Tripp and delivered sharp Shoot Kicks to both Tripp’s chest and back at one point. Eventually, Tripp ducked an Archer Big Boot and came back with a Shining Hip Attack (you read that right). When Eye got in, the incredibly popular face of BRAZEN went ham! A Spear for HF IV, a Spinebuster for Archer Silver and a Missile Dropkick for Killjoy! He took out all three with a Somersault Plancha at one point! Toward the end, HF IV almost got the win with a cheap shot and a Superkick, but Eye kicked out! Both Tripp and Wise sent Killjoy to the floor and Davis CHOPPED the hell out of Archer with a Kesagiri Chop, allowing Eye to land Eyes on the Prize on HF IV! He beat Archer at TAG PARTY II and just beat High Flyer IV!
--After the main event, BADASS and Eye took the microphones. BADASS promised to hold their first gold in a few years while Eye promised that after his TAG PARTY II win, he was going to do everything he could to take the title from Killjoy tomorrow!

NEWS AND NOTES:
--With night one of the BRAZEN Double Shot setting the stage for tonight, all eyes were on the two big title matches. But before we got to those, the show opened with BRAZEN Onslaught Champion Gerardo Villalobos putting his title on the line against one of BRAZEN’s top stars, Levi Cole! With Butcher Victorious on the injured reserve for a couple more weeks, this was Levi’s chance for singles gold. The two men put on a great HOSSFITE (respect to former BRAZEN Booker Angus Skaaland) before it was ruined completely by the new alliance! The Clan of Gentlemen! They tried to attack both men, but out came reinforcements in the form of Sam Day and the rest of the Barrio Boys, Corey Nunez and Hugo Gonzalez! Gerardo made the challenge to the Clan of Gentlemen to meet them five on five. Paul Dunson and Lord Sewell both accepted for their respective groups, leading right into match two!
--And it was The Clan of Gentlemen walking away with the duke for the second night in a row with Finn Dunson hitting the Dunn Deal (Gore) on Sam Day! But before that, it was a hectic match that showed The Clan of Gentlemen taking turns working over Hugo Gonzalez. The rest of the Barrio Boys, Cole and Day cheered him on. Late in the match, Corey and Sam Day hit stereo Suicide Dives to take out Oliver Tarquin Monroe and Todd and Richie Dunson, but a distraction from Lord Sewell allowed Finn Dunson to score with Dunn Deal once Sam got back and got the win!
--After the match, Lord Sewell decreed their new alliance would make them all champions so they promised this… Gentlemen’s Agreement were using their Tag Title opportunity in two weeks to take on the winner of BADASS and Les Enfants Terribles. Meanwhile, “The Golden Opportunist” Paul Dunson promised that at 53 years old, he’d be the old… er, most experienced BRAZEN Onslaught Champion ever so he agreed to use his GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY BATTLE CLUSTER to take the BRAZEN Onslaught Title from Gerardo Villalobos! He agreed to the match so it was official! On the next BRAZEN Double Shot, both title matches were made official.
--”Mellow Yellow” George Othello had a narrow loss to Jesse Harrison the night before and things were about to get worse for the 21-year-old Welshman. He took on former BRAZEN Champion Reinhardt Hoffman coming off his recent loss to Gerardo Villalobos. He promised to make quick work of the mat wrestling Welshman. Hoffman and Othello did some outstanding chain wrestling that led to some nice applause from the crowd until Hoffman got a cheap shot with a Penalty Kick while Othello wasn’t looking. He brutalized his knee with some great leg locks. But the crowd got behind “Twists and Turns” Oscar Burns’ new protege. He fought back with Uppercut It Out (Springboard European Uppercut) for a count of 2.999! A Knee Trembler did the same for him, but when Hoffman tried again… UPSET ALERT! UPSET ALERT! UPSET ALERT! Othello caught him with a Shining Triangle of his own right into the Triangle Choke called Code Yellow! Reinhardt fought through… AND HE TAPPED! The crowd exploded and Othello couldn’t believe it! He had scored a HUGE win over Hoffman… until Hoffman attacked him at the entrance! He had recovered from the choke while Othello celebrated, ending with a vicious DDT on the floor! He promised he’d make Othello regret this victory and would spend every waking moment torturing him until he left BRAZEN.
--As promised Night One, BRAGG fought Torvald The Destroyer next… or so he thought. As soon as the bell rang, the giant of Viking War Cult attacked the official with a Chokeslam! Seeing what happened, BRAGG realized this was a ploy by the Viking War Cult. During the match, they were barred from ringside, but since the match was over, Cul and the Holmstrom twins rushed the ring! A four-on-one ensued until for the first time ever, “The Big Bad” BRAGG was unconscious and beaten in the ring in a massive attack, culminating in an aided Powerbomb through a table! After the match, Cul told BRAGG he’d make he and Capital Punishment pay for their transgressions. They’d woken something within the cult and it would be their undoing.
--After the wreckage of the chaos was cleared and BRAGG was taken to the back, Jack Harmen welcomed the fans after a brief intermission. Teaming with High Investigations, the trio scored a nice big win over the combination of BRAZEN veterans Brutal Attack Force and Thomas Slaine! Slaine himself has been outspoken about the influx of talent possibly taking spots away from people like he and the BAF, but it was not to be their night! Harmen took off Slaine’s head late in the match with a huge Locomotive! That led to Titalayo hitting Save the Tress (Gorilla Press Powerslam) for another win for High Investigations! Who was going to stop Harmen on his march towards the BRAZEN Championship? And with two big wins on this weekend’s Double Shot, would High Investigations be throwing their hat in the ring for a title shot?
--The female BRAZEN stars took center stage again and got a HUGE boost! The return of the former LoC and jOlt Women’s Champion, “The Fairest of Them All” Sarah Winterton! Normally a despised prissy girl, Winterton greeted the crowd and told them she would be heading the division sooner than later. And she and her teammate, Princess Hoss, proved just that. It was The “Pretty Deadly” Sarah Winterton using her technical prowess to defeated Miss Y Private Eye with her signature move, Mirror Mirror (Chaos Theory-style German Suplex) for the win! After the match, Princess Hoss challenged the veteran to a singles match on the next Double Shot and Winterton accepted!
--Following a big win for the trio of BRAZEN’s top fan favorites, “The Leading Man” Jesse Harrison challenged them to a match and had recruited The Atomic Punks as his partners. It was the babyfaces that ruled the roost for the opening moments. Neither of the opposing team could find an answer for “The Wrestling Bear” Jack Mace and his technical/brawler style as taught by the same class that taught “Twists and Turns” Oscar Burns. Declan Alexander’s explosive offense gave them trouble and Matton’s own technical wizardry threw them off for a time until Harrison hit the Boom Shot on Matton on the outside! Matton was beaten down by Fat Boy and Little Man while Harrison let them do the work, until he almost got the win on Matton later with the Spin Off (Standing Figure Four). Mace broke it up later, then Harrison got thrown out of the ring. Mace and Fat Boy fought and Little Man tried a cheap shot, but Declan hit Play of the Game! Declan got the legal tag and Mace helped him with a Flapjack into Play of the Game for a huge win! During the entire ending, Harrison walked out of the match and headed to the back, promising next Double Shot, he would find a new supporting cast on his ascent to the top to make BRAZEN HIS show. This would not be the last of the Leading Man.
--By virtue of a winning record, BADASS earned this title opportunity against Les Enfants Terrible in the first of two title matches! Archer and Davis started the match and what a HELL of a start it was! Davis’ chops! Archer’s kicks! The shots were many and could be heard like gunshots on all parts of the Earl K. Long Gymnasium! The blows kept coming until Davis got the advantage. He and Tripp worked over Archer for the next few moments, including a Shining Hip Attack for a near fall! HF IV eventually saved his partner by pulling the ropes down for Bloome! Archer tagged and HF IV wowed the crowd with a Running Shooting Star Press off the ring apron! The battle got worse from there for BADASS. HF IV kicked away at the leg and Archer Silver’s technical prowess followed up with leg work! After getting a nearfall with the Silver Bullet (Running Gamengiri), his signature Inverted Figure Four had him down! Tripp’s leg was beaten half to death by the time he found any reprieve. He scored a nearfall of his own with a School Boy, but Archer kicked out, then took his head off with an Axe Bomber. He was on top when Tripp kicked him away, then hit a Bombs Away Senton for a nearfall, broken by HF IV! The tag was made to Davis and he CHOPPED everybody around him… okay, mainly LET. No chest was unchopped and both HF IV and Archer wore the wounds of war. Davis hit Plant the Seed (Shotei) on HF IV! He was dead to rights with Ultimate BADASSery being set up by the brothers-in-law, but Archer saved his partner. A low blow from Archer behind the ref’s back led to HF IV hitting a Tornado right into a Small Package on Davis! ONE! TWO! THREE!
--And now that LET had retained their BRAZEN Tag Team Titles and guaranteed at least two more weeks before their next defense, it was now the main event with the new champion… The Beast of Les Enfants Terrible, Killjoy, taking on the challenger. Former BRAZEN Champion and TAG PARTY II winner, Nathaniel Eye! And Eye came out swinging with not one, not two, but THREE Dropkicks to Killjoy that sent him from the ring, but still on his feet… but the Somersault Plancha from Eye did not miss! The self-professed Lover and Fighter caught Killjoy next with a Eyes Up Here (Moonsault) off the ring apron! He was on fire… but one mistake was made. He tried the Starry Eyed Surprise (Flying Knee Strike) but Killjoy SWATTED him out of the air with a huge Lariat! Things got worse for Eye. He was pinballed around the ring by Killjoy. A Sidewalm Slam here. A Clubbing Forearm to the chest there. He was kicked out of the ring and at one point, Killjoy whipped him to ALL FOUR guardrails around the ring! Killjoy had busted his mouth open in their previous title match and later, he tried again, but Eye countered into a mid-air DDT! Eye had the crowd on his feet then. One Starry Eyed Surprise! Two Starry Eyed Surprise! Three Starry Eyed Surprise!
MUAH AH AH AH!
Eye went up top and hit Killjoy with the Eyes Up Here one more time, but only got a two-count! Eye had him where he wanted him. He tried to pick up Killjoy with the Eyes on the Prize, but Killjoy fought his way out and took him down with a Chokeslam, but Eye kicked out! He tried to set him for the Freefall, but Eye slipped behind! He took out the leg, then another Starry-Eyed Surprise to the back of Killjoy’s head! He started to get him up, but HF IV and Archer returned to the ring! He tried to swat them off the apron, but that one distraction was all Killjoy needed to catch him with a Thrust Spinebuster! Killjoy then hit the FreeFall and much to the chagrin of the rowdy crowd… Killjoy logged his first successful title defense of the BRAZEN Championship.
--When the main event was done, LET proclaimed dominance over BRAZEN! High Flyer IV told the crowd they had all the gold, so they made the rules! Archer was happy to tell the crowd to eat dicks, but…
--Capital Punishment arrived! He wasn’t supposed to be there after what happened with Cul, but he wasn’t going to let a show end like this. That’s why he laid out the following match for the second night of the next BRAZEN double shot. Killjoy would defend the BRAZEN Championship against an opponent to be named. And as for the BRAZEN Tag Champs, he booked them for TWO title matches on both nights! On night one, they would defend against Gentlemen’s Agreement to give them their title match they won at CLASH… BUT if they survive that, then LET would be forced to defend their titles against the TAG PARTY II winners! Nathaniel Eye… and “THE BIGGEST BOY” DEX JOY! Cappy told them to enjoy their night. Killjoy looked ready for whoever was set to fight him, but Archer Silver and HF IV told him it wasn’t fair! Archer said this was just Cappy having a boner for fucking them over… but the matches were locked in. There was a happy night for the fans after all!
We’ll see you for the next BRAZEN Double Shot!
