Jake Donovan in confrontation with a Turkey?

When Fan Expos go Wrong!
It seems as if the painted face of DEFIANCE, Jake Donovan, found himself in a rather interesting confrontation over the weekend. While attending a fan expo in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Donovan, who appeared at the event in his trademark face paint, chain covered jeans and mesh sleeves, spent the better part of the morning posing with fans, painting faces, and signing autographs.
Problems were said to have arisen when an actor from the local theater, Paul Goodman, dressed in a colorful turkey costume, approached Donovan and challenged him to an impromptu match. Goodman would go on to suggest that in honor of the upcoming holiday, Donovan should give the people a show and ‘take a dive’ for him.
Clearly offended, Donovan made several efforts to ignore Goodman, who strutted around the colorful wrestler striking up several body building poses before mockingly placing Jake in a headlock. Witnesses report that Donovan reached back, grasped the turkey around the head and slammed him to the ground, then began yanking at the head of the costume. Apparently, Goodman had enough at that point and attempted to flee, only to be pursued by Donovan who reportedly ripped all of the feathers off the costume before allowing Goodman to escape into the crowd.
Organizers of the event asked Donovan to leave not long afterwards, though several witness reports stated that the crowd was firmly behind the DEFIANCE star and were laughing at the dismantling of the turkey. Donovan, for his part, was claimed to have hollered ‘How’s that for a match’ as Goodman fled.
Thus far, Donovan has been unavailable for comment, however we were able to catch up with Goodman and this is what he had to say in regard to the incident.
“It was degrading. I was utterly humiliated and I doubt that I will ever be asked back to that event again. You would think that a professional athlete would have more class than that. All I was attempting to do was play to the crowd and get the people involved in the event, get them laughing and he assaults me. That’s what it was, it was an assault and I’m not going to stand for it. Jake Donovan had better keep an eye out because I’m coming for him. You hear me Jake? Easter bunny coming through the crowd, you never know, could be me. Santa passing out gifts backstage, you got it, me. You assaulted the spirit of thanksgiving Jake and now I’m going to bring down the wrath of the whole holiday season to make you pay.”
Serious or not, if I were Jake Donovan, I’d keep a wary eye out. Or the next headline might read ‘Jake Donovan tombstoned by Santa’s Elf’.
