Jake Donovan attends anti-bully rally, then spares a few minutes to speak to DEFcom
DEFcom was able to catch up with Jake Donovan this afternoon at Szechuan House in Baltimore, just minutes after he’d finished appearing at an Anti-bullying rally at Frederick Douglass High School. Donovan, who was sporting dark blue and orange, the Frederick Douglass colors, had given a moving speech to the students about holding on to their dreams no matter how many people tried to discourage them. Donovan encouraged the students to offer help to one another, motivate one another, and build one another up rather than wasting energy on trying to tear each other down. He reminded them that school was someplace they should all feel safe coming to learn, and that if they all did their parts to encourage and support one another, then there would be no limit to how far any of them could go.
The DEFIANCE high flyer was also gracious enough to take time out of his lunch to speak with us about his recent loss at the ‘MURICA! PPV.
Jake Donovan:
I won’t make any excuses, I did my best to not only avoid the Curtis Clutch but to escape from it once it was locked in but things didn’t go exactly as I’d planned. I wasn’t able to do what I promised I would do, bottom line, and I know Penn isn’t going to change his ways, that he’s still going to go out there embarrassing people and acting like a…well…I think we all know what four legged, horse-like creature he’s been acting like, but I’d like to think that I made a difference in standing up to him, and I hope others won’t hesitate to do the same.
