Promoting physical fitness

In between DEFIANCE shows, former DEFIANCE Southern Heritage Champion Jake Donovan was spotted at a Community Center in Des Moines, Iowa this afternoon, helping to promote healthy physical activity for children and teens.
Donovan, along with several other volunteers, served an after school snack to the children, aided them in completing their homework assignments, and then participated in a variety of games and activities with the group of children ranging in age from 8-13. Donovan showed up in full face paint, to the delight of the children and had painted several faces before the end of the day. In addition, he was spotted playing dodge ball, freeze tag, and at one point a group of younger children even wrangled him into a game of duck, duck goose. While it’s uncertain what the future will hold for him in DEFIANCE, one thing is clear, Donovan hasn’t lost touch with the fans and the fans, especially the younger ones, can’t seem to get enough of him.
