Coastal Empire Weekly has an in depth interview with Curtis Penn, who has been making a lot of appearances lately, his latest lands him inside TBS Comics in Pensacola, Florida. Here are a few highlights from the interview.

Standing his ground and not bringing back MSX:
It’s simple really; all I wanted to do… all I have ever wanted to do was stand toe to toe with the best fighters that the world has to offer. At the end of the day I felt more like a bag full of limps dicks in a room full of virgin vag when I had those two stepping on my shadow.

Why Defiance and not another MMA company?:
Money… good ol’ fashion money.

Your thoughts on Tom Sawyers’ accident:
I can’t say that this place has toughest guys, but it most certainly does have a bitch with a loud bark and a pretty gruesome bite.  There all so freaking sensitive. Take Tom Sawyer’s accident for example, the kid gets his neck broke and all of a sudden we have censors trying to shut down Defiance and promoters trying to ban us from states.  If that happened in the CHIMERA fight camp, we’d call that practice, rub some dirt on it and get back at it.  Wrestlers… the toughest one of ‘em has a snatch.

His thoughts on the upcoming Southern Heritage Title Match at Ascension:
Haven’t put much stock into it. CVC is going to walk out the winner and I’m pretty certain of the outcome of that match. Hell, I might even show Kai Scott how to really break someone’s neck. Hi, Tucker.

TALKING DEF

"Right now, in the Shining City on the Hill, the people of Boston are huddled with anticipation around the pub TVs. They’re holding their Guiness high, their green face paint has already begun to smear with anticipation, and their breath is bated… because once again, one of their own has a chance to bring home the gold. Listen, Christie. Can you hear them? Can you hear the cries of my people?"
