First FIST of DEFIANCE, former owner of the company, ”"The Socialite” Edward White released from prison after EIGHT YEARS

Otisville Correctional Facility, Otisville NY

It’s been eight long years since, arguably, the most controversial figure to ever grace the DEFIANCE history books went away to prison for a bevy of financial crimes. The Louisville, Kentucky native’s story of starting his career living rough on the streets and his subsequent rise to fame and very very large fortune is the stuff of wrestling legend. Using his vast self-made wealth to buy himself into several affluent circles of “friends” the gregarious Ed White’s magnetic personality earned him his “Socialite” nom de plume. In the weeks leading up to his arrest by a joint federal task force, it came out that Ed’s vast millions were a little less than self-made. With books lousy with financial crimes and more than a few ties to the New York mob, Ed saw out most of the last decade behind bars in the same white collar correctional facility that hosted the likes of disgraced Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and ponzi scheme architect and fellow money launderer Kenneth Starr.

Besides being one of DEFIANCE’s first grand slam champion and the first ever FIST of DEFIANCE, The Socialite’s most notable contribution came during his time as the company’s owner. Literally laying the foundations of DEFIANCE’s still current headquarters, the Wrestleplex facility, in NOLA. Bar and restaurant for fans, state of the art training facilities, expansive corporate offices with built in production facilities, a full four thousand seat arena, and an unheard of security camera system that picked up everything… and we mean everything… that happened inside the walls of the building. The maniacal millionaire’s most ostentatious addition to the facility being the giant custom, pneumatic, extendable skybox contraption inside the Wrestleplex arena proper. Used by the Socialite to quite literally lord power over whatever DEFIANT he was feuding with at the time.

Only a small handful of talent still active in DEFIANCE had dealings with The Socialite, most notably Bronson Box and Lindsay Troy. Box as an ally and tag team partner in the Blood Diamonds duo, Troy as… well, most decidedly not an ally. Edward White left an indelible mark on his associates, rivals and DEFIANCE as a whole.

[The short video clip shows Edward White himself emerging from a nondescript door making his way to a waiting limousine. Still looking fit as a fiddle, his dark beard neatly groomed, sporting a black suit and tie. Unsurprisingly at his side Edward’s his long time girl Friday and former DEFIANCE femme fatale, the perpetually pencil-skirted Jane Katze. The small group of reporters try to ask a few questions only to be brushed off by The Socialite. We see one reporter get a little pushy prompting Jane to lift a quick knee into the reporter's breadbasket dropping him to his knees in wheezing pain. Standing by car waiting to open the back door is Ed’s other long time associate, former enforcer for the Tuttoro Crime Family, the seven foot plus wall of a human being Nicky Corozzo. White slides into the back of the car without a word followed by Jane and Nicky and the car slowly pulls away without a word from anyone.]

The fact Ed’s longtime assistants / bodyguards Jane Katze and Nicky Corozzo were at The Socialite’s side even after nearly a decade behind bars is telling in and of itself. There’s been no word from Edward White’s camp as to what his intentions or plans might be now that he has his freedom and or if they even include DEFIANCE. The scuttlebutt from my sources are saying whilst behind bars, via Ms. Katze, Edward regrew his fortune with some savvy... we hope legal... investments over the last few years. One has to wonder if the formerly spotlight obsessed multi millionaire still feels the call of the ring? With time and finances on his side anything is possible.

More on this breaking story as we get it.

TALKING DEF

"Do you people know he's STILL complaining about the Intercontinental Title match?? For a history lesson, and boy are we going back to a time of irrelevance here... but the guy, he wanted me pretty bad. He had this whole 'you're beneath me' vibe going while at the same time speaking my name every time he opened his mouth. It's Scott's way of playing hard to get, like we're in third grade and all my insults really means I like him. Then he'd run over and punch me in the shoulder and hide so that presumably I'd then find him and he'd try to kiss me in the bushes."
