BRAZEN Presents: 3/24 and 3/25 Double Shot!

The latest Double Shot from BRAZEN set up some big things as we headed towards the special Clashat the ‘CONCON show in April! A special eight-man Two Out of Three Falls Match took place pitting the members of Les Enfants Terribles trying to regain the BRAZEN Tag Team Titles from the likes of BIG Trouble! Both BRAZEN Champion Nick “Lotto” Otto and challenger Leyenda de Ocho look to gain some momentum before their Clash at the CONCON!
And also…with BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment mysteriously MIA following an attack by Titanes Familia member Minute, the longest-reigning Unified Tag Team Champions… THE SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIALS stepped in for hosting duties! Big news on the BRAZEN Women’s Championship front! A special tournament will start at Clash at the ‘CONCON with the participants being named for this show during Night Two! Check out those results!
The Saturday Night Specials of Brock Newbludd and “Black Out” Pat Cassidy greeted the audience to kick off both nights as the special emcees for the occasion. Turns out that masquerading as luchadors among the roster may have landed the two men in some hot water, but with Capital Punishment out of action, they helped BRAZEN Matchmakers make good by announcing the title matches and main events for both nights, followed by autograph signings before each night of the Double Shot!
On Night One, Justin Sane interrupted the duo saying he was making his return to BRAZEN after nobody even knew he quit yet again. He got a Keg Stand from the SNS for his troubles and the show moved on!
FRIDAY, MARCH 24th RESULTS
1. BRAZEN Star Cup: Nathan Cross © defeated Hijo de Curt Cunning @ 15:00, one fall to zero at the 15:00 time limit to retain the Cup!
2. The Barrio Boys (Gerardo Villalobos, Hugo Gonzalez and Corey Nunez w/Mr. Salazar) defeated The DEFcepticons (Al Sparks, Ryan Knox and Septimus Tyne w/Megan Kron and Starscream) @ 8:45 with a lateral press by Gonzalez with Mr. Salazar holding the legs of Sparks!
3. Jocylene Ingrid Blythe defeated Sweet Sanders @ 4:26 with the Death Valley Girl Driver
4. Kid Black Jack defeated Jesse Harrison @ 8:52 with Twenty-One (corkscrew swanton bomb)
5. The Company Men (Cristiano Caballero and Brayden W. Levrington) defeated High Investigations (Eddie Cheno and Titilayo), Los Fratadores (Johnny Dorn and Jonnywith the 10-K (lariat followed by cutter, Dubya pins Cheno)
6. Curtis Alexander Brown defeated “The Dirt Worst” Doug Matton @ 11:05 with The Killer Magnum (cartwheel Death Valley Driver)
7. Sarah Winterton defeated Liz Icarus @ 5:36 with The Spellbinder (Gedo Clutch)
8. The Monster Mash (Count Novick and The Monster) defeated The Viking War Cult (Ivar and Floki Holmstrom) @ 9:01 with a chokeslam/Graveyard Smash combo (Novick pins Ivar Holmstrom)

1. BRAZEN Onslaught Championship: “The Professional” Leon Van Zant and “Mellow Yellow” George Othello battled to a No Contest @ 13:01 when both were attacked by The Barrio Boys!

THE TITLE PICTURE
--For the first time since becoming part of the BRAZEN brand, the undefeated streak of Nick “Lotto” Otto was ended by Leyenda de Ocho in a special tag team match! With their title match made for Clash at the ‘CONCON, Leyenda de Ocho recruited top BRAZEN star “Young Bull” Tate Newell to counter the power of BRAGG! The Bull wiped out BRAGG with The Horns (running spear), allowing Leyenda a clear path to victory with The Actualizer! Leyenda de Ocho, a former BRAZEN Star Cup holder, has never held the BRAZEN Championship, but promises to take it away from the self-professed Most Humble Champion in BRAZEN!
--BIG Trouble retained their BRAZEN Tag Team Titles when the pair of former BRAZEN Champions in BIGBOSS Batts and “BIG Shot” Jack Halcyon retained over the then-undefeated New Day Rising! Though they came up short, Reeves and Raiden both walked away leaving the fans with a lasting impression! Their star is incredibly high and many believe it is going to be sooner than later for when they hold tag gold…
--...But for now, the stage has been set! Les Enfants Terribles defeated BIG Trouble on Night Two of the BRAZEN Double Shot in a Best of Three Falls match to earn the right to pick their stipulation for CLASH at the ‘CONCON! Silver and Gold II (Archer Silver and Kazuhiro Troy) promised to win the gold back and they have chosen a No DQ Match! And to make matters worse, all other members of BIG Trouble would be banned from the building to ensure that Batts and his crew could not use their numbers to keep winning! Batts and Halcyon will be defending the titles on behalf of the group when they meet at CLASH at the ‘CONCON!
--Once again, Nathan Cross turns back members of The Curt Cunning Experience in three Double Shots! After defeating “Cunning” Curt Cunning to win the Cup, he has defeated both of his stooges, Cunning Dos and Hijo de Curt Cunning. Cross has issued an open challenge for CLASH at the ‘CONCON and will not know his opponent until bell time!
--And lastly, the Onslaught Title situation hit a snag! The fighting Onslaught Champion “The Professional” Leon Van Zandt and “Mellow Yellow” George Othello were interrupted by The Barrio Boys of all people! On Night One, the long time fan favorites shocked the fans by stealing a win from The DEFcepticons with help from their manager, Mr. Gustavo Salazar. On Night Two, the Barrio Boys stormed the ring and attacked Van Zandt and Othello! Gerardo Villalobos was the first Onslaught Champion and since that time, he and The Barrio Boys felt continuously disrespected by being nice guys… now, they promise to be nice guys with an edge as they left the two men laying and walked away with smiles on their faces!
ONES TO WATCH
--The Barrio Boys possibly made the most impact over the weekend in terms of changing up the game. Now, the long-time BRAZEN talent are looking to turn their misfortunes around by stealing wins, attacking unsuspecting stars and finally doing what it takes to break free from a long time losing streak!
--”Young Bull” Tate Newell made a big rise in stock by managing to negate the power advantage of BRAGG in Night One’s main event by spearing the massive BRAGG out of his boots! Fans are wanting to see the two big men go at it and rumors are that match may be possible for CLASH at the ‘CONCON!
--The Company Men made a lasting impression over Logan Barry and Jeff Ness on UNCUT, followed by a win over High Investigations! Caballero, himself a longtime member of BRAZEN, may have finally found his calling with the help of Brayden W. Levrington, whose main mission is to win gold and replace what they see as lesser wrestling fans with more sophisticated clientele in the audience!
--Kid Black Jack has been finding his stride not only teaming with his mentors, The House, but also scoring another win! The House and Monster Mash continue to rack up wins, possibly leading to another title challenge for either team!
--Curtis Alexander Brown impressed in a major contest over dirty-fighting Doug Matton! Curtis Alexander Brown has made overtures backstage about possibly being the one to take up Nathan Cross on his open challenge for the BRAZEN Star Cup! Nothing has been made official as of yet, but the man called CAB has impressed many and has made no bones about wanting some championship gold!
--In some interesting news, the former Unified Tag Team Champions, The Saturday Night Specials, were both in the house and got a huge pop from the crowd by kicking off the show on both nights after Capital Punishment was hurt! There were rumors they may have been scouting talent for the show as well!
--The rising BRAZEN Women’s division seems to be rising in popularity as well! Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe, Bonito en Rosa, Brooklynn Rivera all scored wins, along with the debut of… that’s right, Deacon’s own manager, MAGDALENA! Scoring a win over Sweet Sanders in her debut! With that said…
