BRAZEN's Best and Brightest returned home for a special double shot at the Earl K. Long Gymnasium in Lafayette, Louisiana! Clashes from the previous CLASH were settled (all except one, stay tuned for that!) and while new battles started to take shape! Check the results below for all the latest news and results from the recent Double Shot... AS WELL AS THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF OUR NEXT MAJOR SHOW IN CASE YOU MISSED IT AT THE CLASH!
FRIDAY 8/5 RESULTS
1. BRAZEN Tag Team Battle Royal: The House (Derrick Huber and Adam Roebuck) defeated The Dunson Clan (Paul and Finn Dunson), Midcard Experiment (Walter Levy and CAGE!), Customer Support (Simon Kinsberg and Trevor Manning) and The Barrio Boys (Corey Nunez and Hugo Gonzalez) @ 9:56 to earn a Tag Title match in the main event
2. Sun-Twist Skylar defeated Hijo del Fishman Deluxe @ 1:45 with the Moon Beam (Gonso Bomb)
3. "Fresh Prince of Big Air" Antonio Prince defeated The AARDMARK @ 3:45 with Hail To The Prince (Inverted 450 Splash)
4. BRAZEN Star Cup: Kazuhiro Troy defeated Brayden W. Levrington @ 15:00 time limit, one fall to zero to retain the cup
5. Les Enfants Terribles (Archer Silver, High Flyer IV and Killjoy) defeated The Conclave (Reinhardt Hoffman, Rhys Collins and Gunther Adler) @ 11:15 with Kicky McGee (superkick/Gamengiri combo, Archer pins Collins)
6. Count Novick defeated Roosevelt Owens (w/Bobby Horrigan) @ 5:16 via Schoolboy out of the corner
7. Aleczander The Great defeated Gerardo Villalobos @ 9:16 with Weapon FLEX (Running Lariat)
8. "One Shot" Jack Halcyon defeated Strong AF with the Sit and Go (Frog Splash) @ 8:05
9. BRAZEN Tag Team Championships: BIG Trouble (BIGBOSS Batts and BIG Kahuna Ali'i w/BIG Aug Lazar) defeated The House (Derrick Huber and Adam Roebuck) @ 11:05 with Trouble Brewing (Impact Crater/Diving Senton combo, Batts pins Huber) to retain the titles

1. BRAZEN Onslaught Championship: Michael Van Warren defeated "Mellow Yellow" George Othello @ 9:46 with the Limit Breaker to retain the championship
2. OnlyFlips (Kenny Yi and Lee Laz w/Liz Icarus) defeated BADASS (Tripp Wise and Davis Bloome) @ 6:55 with Premium Content (Hanging Neckbreaker/450 Splash combo)
3. Leon Van Zandt defeated Justin Sane @ 4:15 with the Sugar Hold... ans Justin Sane ragequits to ths surprise of no one
4. #1 Contender’s Match, BRAZEN Onslaught Championship: Kid Black Jack defeated Kazuo Akamatsu and David Hightower @ 7:05 with 21 (Corkscrew senton bomb, Kid pins Akamatsu)
5. The Viking War Cult (Cul, Ivar and Floki Holmstrom and Torvald the Destroyer) defeated The Safety Patrol (Sgt. Safety, Jeff Belltron and Dick Flanagan) and The White Hat @ 8:05 with Blood Eagle (sitout powerbomb, Cul pins Belltron)
6. Bobby Horrigan (w/Roosevelt Owens) defeated Count Novick @ 6:05 with Irish Slammer (Corner slingshot splash)
7. BUSINESS (Emilio Byrd and Hurtlocker Holt) defeated High Investigations (Eddie Cheno and Tornado T-Rex Titilayo) @ 8:45 with THE BUSINESS (Suplex/Powerbomb combo, Byrd pins Cheno)
8. Nathan Cross defeated Cristiano Caballero @ 3:42 with the Crossover (Rolling Cutter)
8. Leyenda de Ocho defeated "The Dirt Worst" Doug Matton @ 12:05 with the Actualizer (Springboard Corkscrew Quebrada)
9. BRAZEN Championship: Declan "DEC4L" Alexander fought FLAMBERGE to a No Contest @ 12:16
THE TITLE SCENE
--Declan Alexander has promised to take on all comers and that includes his new #1 Contender, FLAMBERGE! Two of BRAZEN's youngest and most talented took the fight all over but ended in a No Contest after an errant GGez Kick from Declan caught the referee! A rematch had been scheduled for the next Double Shot, No Disqualification! FLAMBERGE and Alexander look to continue their grudge soon enough!
--BIG Trouble changed the game when they cashed in their Golden Opportunity Gauntlet win smack-dab in the middle of the BRAZEN Tag Team Title match between the Rain City Ronin and The House! The House won a battle royal to earn another title match, however, thanks to BRAZEN's Largest Athlete, BIG Aug Lazar, BIG Trouble retained the titles... but may have brought unwanted attention upon themselves! More on that below.
--The BRAZEN Onslaught Title is firmly in the grip of Michael Van Warren, who turned back a very game George Othello. Othello has been scratching closer and closer to a title, but came up short against mVw. But... Jack Halcyon isn't done! The man called One Shot called out for a rematch seeing as he passed out, but never tapped to the champ back at the CLASH. mVw denied the request. Halcyon's quest to become BRAZEN's first Triple Crown winner has not died as he was able to pin the most recent BRAZEN Championship challenger, Strong AF, in singles action!
--Kazuhiro Troy lines them up and knocks them down! Just a week from a HIGHLY physical bout with his own teammate Archer Silver, Kaz won out against the young upstart Brayden W. Levrington to retain the BRAZEN Star Cup once again! But a champion's work is never done... as BIG Trougle has run afoul of LET! The crowd firmly sided with LET after a post match confrontation in the main event of Night One!
Surprisingly, Kazuhiro Troy nominated Archer Silver of all people as his partner and issued a challenge to BIG Trouble for the BRAZEN Tag Titles! BIGBOSS Batts accepted under one condition: Batts also wants a shot at Kaz's BRAZEN Star Cup! The title matches are being finalized by BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment and we will follow up with more infomation when we know when those matches take place!
ONES TO WATCH
The last two weeks have been big with the recent promotions of Ascension Winner Dan Leo James and BRAZEN's longest-reigning former Tag Team Champions, NEW Rain City Ronin! The talent continues to rise as BRAZEN received a few new arrivals, a return/rebrand of another team, and some more rising stars!
--Sun-Twist Skylar, the young powerhouse from The Cayman Islands, took Hijo del Fishman Deluxe to task with a quick Gonso Bomb called The Moon Beam! Standing 6'1 and 275, the very intimidating young man looks to wreck the competition and look smooth AF doing it.
--"The Fresh Prince of Big Air" Antonio Prince is only 18, but the young high-flying prodigy won over whatever The AARDMARK is. Under the mask this time was inexplicably the aforementioned Ascension winner Dan Leo James, who was told by DEFIANCE Management to please leave since he's a main roster member now.
--A huge surprise in former Classic Wrestling star and former Classic Tag Team Champion Leon Van Zandt has now signed to BRAZEN! He tapped out Justin Sane with the deadly Sugar Hold (full nelson camel clutch), who we thought quit. Whatever. Leon Van Zandt, the deadly submission star from Belgium, has the skills to go very far!
--The former Thugs for Hire made their return and defeated high level tag team, High Investigations, under the new moniker of BUSINESS. There was no more playing around from the BRAZEN vets, who mowed through their competition with a deadly suplex/powerbomb combo... also called THE BUSINESS. Hurtlocker Holt and Emilio Byrd appear to be taking a much more serious approach to things that seem to yield positive results for them.
--Count Novick's new budding war with Heavy Artillery ended with mixed results over the course of the Double Shot. During Night One, Roosevelt Owens missed a corner splash and Count Novick struck by spitting a red mist and then rolling him up for the win! However, Night Two ended in defeat after Rosey got a little payback by crushing Novick on the outside against the barricade, thus allowing Bobby Horrigan to hit the Irish Slammer (corner slingshot splash) for the win! Something tells us this won't be the last we see of this issue!
--Former World Trios Champs The Viking War Cult won an eight-man tag and demanded an opportunity to compete on DEFtv, citing their tenure. We'll see where this goes!
--Kid Black Jack has been on a tear in recent weeks, capping this off wiht a huge win in a #1 Contender’s Match over two larger opponents in Kazuo Akamatsu and David Hightower to win a shot at Michael Van Warren's Onslaught Championship! We are being told that Kid Black Jack will have his shot in two weeks at Michael Van Warren! Can the young self-styled "Shoot-a-dore" earn his first championship in BRAZEN?
--Les Enfants Terribles, shockingly, had some of the best reactions of the show! The issue between Archer and Kaz seemed to be behind them and now the group that once was the scourge of the locker room now seems to be among the favorites, now pitted against the heinous BIG Trouble!
