DEFtv039 in Baltimore had a lot going on. Title changes, riots, general political instability among wrestlers and staff alike. There was so much chaos that one of the most notable things missing from a Baltimore show... wasn't missed until afterwards.
Jeff Andrews.
Baltimore's Favorite Son disappeared after dropping the Defiance World Title to Cancer Jiles at the Untouchable PPV. One tweet afterwards in which he said "I still own Defiance. Taking a vacation though. all expenses paid by dane and all the dipshits who helped him. #BelieveInJeff". When Dane tried to remove him from the active roster list, he mysteriously reappeared there.
Other than that, all has been quiet on the Jeff front. His running buddy Kai Scott claimed that Jeff was "disgusted" with Defiance itself for "turning on him", but this was neither confirmed nor denyed by Jeff or any source closer to him.
General opinion was that he had retreated to lick his wounds and dignity, and would be back sooner rather than later. He's known for being impatient, and enjoys an audience.
Yet, chants of "We Want Jeff" from his hometown fans weren't enough to flush him out of hiding. Neither was his girlfriend's complete breakdown. Neither was Eric Dane's assault on her. And the formerly mildly interesting question became more pressing.
