Biography
In 1996, Kai Scott graduated from high school and went straight to wrestling training camp. In 1998, he badly injured his right knee in a ladder match.
In 2000, in the Innovative Wrestling Alliance, Kai Scott was one of the founding members and the second-in-command of The Untouchables. He also played the funny guy, the comedian. So no one respected him.
And so Kai backstabbed The Untouchables.
Through a combination of winning a few important matches, some fourth-wall-tinged rants and sleeping with the Commissioner (she was a woman named Dawn, just fyi) Kai positioned himself as one of the top heels of the CAL. But he hated the CAL, so he killed it. Yes, the entire interfed.
IWA closed, and Kai decided to work management for Old Line Wrestling. That knee he wrecked in 1998 never properly healed, you see. After a few years of inactivity, he, Jeff Andrews, Ronnie Long and Danny Vicious decided to reform the Untouchables. But Kai couldn't keep up with the other three between his knee injury and ring rust, and they made him leave the stable. So he started his own Untouchables.
Then OLW closed. Having done almost nothing but evil for the better part of a decade, Kai decided to make a proper shot of becoming a manager and making superstars out of his proteges Claira St. Sure, Jonny Booya, and Diane Parker. After a couple false starts, Claira became successful in DEFIANCE. So successful in fact that when Jonny suffered a losing slump and turned on Kai, he didn't even care.
And then, to make a long story short, he, Andrews, Long and Heidi Christenson reformed The Untouchables, but it didn't go well and Scott ended up the sole surviving member of the faction.
He leveraged this into contendership to the Defiance World Title, got himself into the title match by letting his opponent get disqualified, and then won the World Title by reuniting with Claira and Diane.

Gimmick
Cerebral heel. In spite of - or perhaps because of - his damaged body, Kai learned to be a manipulator, both of people's emotions and of wrestling politics.
Also, there's just something weird about him. Like, supernatural weird. He wrestles like he's 10 years younger than he is and then staggers around on a crutch backstage. And even though his bad right knee is a glowing bullseye, no one ever manages to capitalize on it. And sometimes he'll just go completely silent and still for no reason.

Strengths
1) Ring General. Kai doesn't just know where he is at all times, he knows how to move his stablemates around the ring to make sure they're in the right place.
2) Keyser Soze like reputation. He hasn't gone so far as to make anyone eat their children, but most people wouldn't dare him that he couldn't do just that.
3) Targeting his bad right knee is a waste of time. It never works. And I don't mean just that he counters everything, although he's good at that. One guy, for example, fell over backwards while trying to give him a shinbreaker. Another one had his bootlace snap and trip him while attempting a chop block. It's almost supernatural.

Weaknesses
1) Broken down. Yes, he fakes it sometimes, and yes, he's good at playing possum, but Kai Scott's taken a lot of heavy duty punishment over the years and his body is barely holding itself together.
2) Lack of confidence. There are a lot of people who don't think Kai Scott has the chops to straight up defend himself in a one on one wrestling match. One of those people is Kai Scott. He always has at least five gameplans because he thinks he needs them.

Quotes
- I've never been a genius. I'm just a fool who knows how to relate to other fools.
- And I may be a broken down coward standing in a mess after the board gets upended, Python, but I'm a broken down coward standing in a mess... holding the gun I had stashed under the playing table the whole time.
- Hi. I'm Kai Scott.
- I don't hate you, son. Think what you will, say what you will, I gave up hating. I have gifts. I have gifts that I have squandered in malice, lust and sloth. I do not wish you harm, Tom, but I will not waste them any longer.
- Wrestling's a cutthroat world. Every time a faction makes room for somebody new, they're giving themselves that much less room to succeed. If you're not good enough to beat 'em you can't join 'em. But I refuse to believe you didn't already know that.
- Whether you know it or not, whether you choose to believe it, whether Eric Dane himself is willing to admit it, all of Defiance bears my fingerprints.
- The Joes were wrong. Knowing isn't half the battle. It's eighty percent, at least.
